Because → Es una conjunción
Why are you worried? Because I have lost my keys.
I was cleaning my shoes because they were very dirty.
Because of → La
Some people become very
angry because of the traffic jam in the city.
People in this area can’t
get enough oxygen because of the air pollution.
He didn’t go to work because
of his accident.
Because of his
accident, he didn’t go to work.
Una frase con because
of se puede transformar en una con because:
He didn’t go to
work because he had an accident.
Recordad:
Because
(conjunction): BECAUSE + CLAUSE
Because of (preposition): BECAUSE OF + NOUN / PRONOUN
