Después de haber visto en las dos entradas anteriores lo relativo a la teoría sobre las oraciones de relativo y pronombres y adverbios de relativo en inglés, hoy nos vamos a ocupar e los ejercicios para practicar así lo que vimos entonces.
Os propongo unos ejercicios para practicar con el uso de los pronombres y su omisión, con los adverbios relativos y para finalizar un ejercicio para que forméis oraciones de relativo a partir de las oraciones que se proponen.
Write these sentences, omitting the relative clause if it’s possible.
The man who I met yesterday lent me an umbrella.
John, whose wife is ill, cannot come to the meeting.

Where is the hat that I wore yesterday?
The horse that I selected won the race.

Put the pronoun that where it is possible in other cases use which or who(m).

We have not fixed the date……we’ll start our holidays.
Give me the reason……you haven’t done your homework.
Join the sentences using relative clauses.
Tom is playing football with a boy. The boy is his cousin.
Sam has gone to a party. The party is at his friend’s house.
I went to the dentist’s. He is a friend of mine. I met him at university.
She works for a writer. The writer is a very famous.
Elaine’s house is going to be pulled down. She is looking for a new flat.
